Metro Food Initiation

Metro Food İnitiation brand was created for Metro Turkey in order to claim and raise awareness about food waste and loss. The data revealed as a result of the studies carried out with Tübitak focused on what can be done in Metro's own operation and in the restaurants they work together to reduce food waste & loss.

Metro Food Initiation was announced for the first time with Restaurant Week and its first launch was held during Restaurant Week. Within the scope of the project, the Gourmet Box was developed, with which restaurant customers could take the remaining meals home, informative infographic brochures were prepared and communication-oriented meals were organized for Metro Food Initiation. Also planned orders were arranged with the collaborating restaurants, resulting in awareness of food waste and loss, both in restaurants and in the end consumer. Felis and Sustainable Communication awards were given to this project.
